Field Work is an opportunity to see art that has never been shown at The Artery. Deborah Lamoreux, a well-known photographer, has turned her talents to painting the spectacular sunflowers that flood our summer fields. Their vibrancy inspired her to create oversize acrylic abstracts, a series of pastel drawings, and black calligraphic works splashed with color.

The art community of Winters brought Rebecca Holmes and Deborah together since they both established studios/galleries there. Deborah's, Lamoreux Gallery, specializes in both paintings and photographs, and exhibits many other local artists. The Clayground is Rebecca's studio/gallery. Rebecca Bresnick Holmes specializes in the dynamic process of raku firing, and continues to experiment with inventive approaches to throwing clay. For this exhibit Rebecca presents a selection of brilliant raku fired, hand-thrown vessels.
