I sculpt both with glass fusing and with clay. There is a symbiotic flow between the mediums. The light, color, and smoothness of the glass works beautifully with the texture, dimensions, and details of sculpting with clay. Although some of my pieces are specifically glass or clay, creating with both has allowed me to take my artwork further than would be possible with either alone. This is a wonderful part of being an artist…to push through to new ideas that expand upon what you create. Joy, nature, and beauty are my inspirations. I strive to capture joy in the faces of my animals while still depicting them naturally, and to create the beautiful colors and textures of the natural world around us.
