Meg was born in California and raised in Venezuela. She became captivated early on by the exquisite fabricated jewelry of South America. She loved looking at the orchids, leaves and flowers that the artisans there, create so well. This interest continued through the years, and a serious study of jewelry making began in 1975 when she was living on Cape Cod, Mass. She spent two years apprenticing with Elfstone Silver and Gold and when she moved to California started up her own business. Since then, Meg has been designing and handcrafting sterling silver jewelry, often with gold accents. Using precious metals and many striking gemstones from all over the world, Meg designs, solders and casts swirls of silver and gold into works of graceful, wearable art, often reminiscent of Victorian and Art Nouveau styles. As she proceeds, Meg will sometimes follow rough sketches of ideas and often the ideas just flow out. Meg enjoys working with sterling silver and combining colors of gemstones in her art work. She thinks of her jewelry as snowflakes, each unique and special. Meg's jewelry is designed to be worn and enjoyed.
